We rode the 10 kms down to Cheverney and you still can't see anything from outside and we didn't want to pay to go in, so we rode back to Brecieux and then continued to Chambord.
Most of the trip from Bracieux to Chambord is through its 52.5 sq kms of deer forest.
From Chambord we rode up to the Loire and then followed it downstream to Blois. The camping area is 4 kms upstream of Blois. We booked in, setup our tents and headed into town.
Blois has a Son et Lumiere at Blois Castle. The show runs for about 45 minutes and would be quite interesting if you spoke French.
