A flat and pleasant ride of 50kms had us in Schauffhasen mid -afternoon, nearly an hour later we found our digs for the night, a fabulous 280 year old two story farmhouse in Laufen-Uhweissen, 8kms down the road..

The views from the upstairs windows across the farmland to the surrounding snow-capped peaks were stunning.

Hi,           It was a really nice ride, basically followed the Rhine down to Schauffhasen, today we do the reverse on the other side of the river. Give me a chance to sort out the go pro. Still keep making mistakes, but getting better.
We got a little disoriented trying to find accommodation and rode up a huge hill for no good reason, apart from my beating Wendy, first time ever she had to get off before me. The extra 20 kg is more of a hardship for her than me, I have been carrying that much for years so am used to it.
Did I tell you I was saying how good the gears were on Jeremy's surly and she had said she might need to get hers adjusted because it had never been as good as Jeremy's. Well she went into the bike shop and they quoted her $1000 , so what did she do, bought a new bike.
