Long Day, supposed to follow thr river up to Orleans. No idea why we curved out to Saint Loren, maybe Wendy was just looking for some hills. I think we just missed the turn.

The discovery of the impresssive Chateau de Sully sur Loire, that just popped up out of nowhere was quite exciting.

Nearly in Orlean, at 70 on the map, we found out the camping area was closed, Wendy found another one and we turned south and rode nearly 10Kms looking for Camp Olivet

We had little idea where we were however we were delighted to find a Pizza van on site. Some years later Wendy found a book, "One More Croissant for the Road" by an English food critic, Felicity Croke,who was cycling around France visiting many of the towns we did at about the same time. She, also, was very happy to find this Pizza van.
