Slideshow of morning ride

Slideshow of Rocomat at Ravieres

Slideshow after Ancy

The morning ride was another pleasant ride along a reed lined canal.

There were a number of pretty little lock keeper cottages with well tended gardens.

In fact, we are getting quite tired of these long flat rides, you get no chance to relax, you have to keep pedalling all day,

A distict change at Ravieres with these massive warehouses along the canal.

Since 1853, Rocomat have been a major player in the production of building stone at an international level, and the leading producer of natural stone in France.

Large sheets of limestone can be seen stacked on the wharves.

We detoured off the trail to Ancy le franc and this cute little Boulangerie, and this is why.

Refreshed, we returned to the track and headed north for Tonnerre.

The country changed into rolling wheat paddocks as we followed the canal into Tonnerre.

All afternoon I had been hanging out for sausage and chips, so was quite keen to get to camp and get into town and find a greasy spoon.
