Cloudy. misty morning , a walk around the foreshore and then head back to Balmaha. From there we are going to catch a ferry across Loch Lomomd to Luss.

Luss is a conservation village, with a bypass carrying the busy A82 trunk road. In its position just off the main road to the West Highlands, it is visited by many tourists, and has a large car and coach park and a number of tourist-oriented shops. Many of Luss' cottages, several of which are located on Pier Road, have been described as picturesque. The village has a kiltmaker and a bagpipe works. In recent years, Luss became famous as a result of being the main outdoor location for the Scottish Television drama series Take the High Road.

We will have a potter around there and then catch a ferry to Balloch at the southern end of Loch Lomond.

Balloch is an important centre of tourism, especially from Glasgow and Dumbarton. The village has a number of hotels, inns and pubs, and there are cruises from Balloch up Loch Lomond, and other services, including to nearby locations like Luss.

From Balloch we can catch a train directly to MiIngavie and a relaxing night in a bed.
