The camping area is above and behind the township which is nestled on the edge of Loch Carron.

We arrived at the camping area late in the afternoon, set up our tents and relaxed.

These little fellas were hopping around everywhere feasting on something.

It didn't take us long to find out on what. Bloody midges, we had no sooner sat down for an afternoon snack than they flew in to have a snack on us.

We quickly acquired a set of midge masks to cover our faces and made sure to be wearing long sleeeves and trousers.
