Today I walked the short distance to the station and boarded the train through Glasgow to Milngavie, which is the end of the line.

Geraldine met me in the carpark and took me out to their place. Apart from a lot of talking and tea-drinking I had to assemble my bicycle and pack all of my belongings into the four Ortlieb panniers. For the next 3 months this will be my home. The bike bag and carry bags will be left at Geraldines and picked up at the end of the Scottish leg when we return to Milngavie and dismantle our bikes and fly to Zurich for the French leg of our journey.
